Equine Empowerment: A Guide to Positive Reinforcement Training

Science based training is not just a way of modifying behavior, but an entire way of living with animals. A solid understanding of our species' natural history helps us best meet their needs and bring out their fullest potential. With an understanding of learning theory and behavioral science we can really begin to influence our companion's choices in the kindest way possible. Positive Reinforcement techniques allow us to develop a strong bond based on mutual understanding, empathy, and compassion. With the help of ethology, biology, and neuroscience, we can better understand how our horses think and feel. Using all this objective, science-based information, as well as our desire to be kinder to horses, we can reshape the horse-human connection.

This book dives deep into the sciences behind how horses behave, learn, and feel with many custom designed charts and diagrams for visual learners to enjoy. There are over 70 instructional worksheets for you to apply this information to real life situations and individual equines. In these, we've detailed how to train a wide variety of ground and mounted behaviors as well as how to address emotional and behavioral problems.

Finally! Flexible, durable, cleanable, waterproof, and HORSE sized treat pouches!!!

We are now selling our Empowered Equines Flexible Treat Pouch! These come in 3 sizes, 1/4 gallon (35oz), 1/2 gallon (70oz), and 1 FULL Gallon (128oz)!!! They come in 3 colors, clear/white, pink, and green.

They seal shut easily and securely, even no dripping when sealed. They are food safe, safe for hot or cold foods, from frozen to hot mash, they can even be put in the dishwasher! Our logo might not last forever, but the pouch sure will!! They fold flat and are softly flexible, very easy to get your hand in an out, but tricky for a horse to get their nose in 😉 Comfortable to ride in too!

*UPDATED*: The belts are attached to the pouch through a few loops which are sealed and secured, keeping the pouch water tight and the food inside fresh. The loops allow you to change the belt out for any of your own if you like or use it like a shoulder bag! The loops keep the bag from sagging, pulling, or tearing with use.

The belt that comes with it is adjustable with a simple buckle, they're about 1.5" thick band and can go from itty bitty kid size up to 51.5" waist.

These are made to order so please allow us some time to get them out to you.
100% of the profit goes to Empowered Equines Rescue

Which size should I get?

The smallest (1/4 gallon) is a nice size for dog trainers or for horse trainers to have as an extra with their "special" treats (nice cookies) or to put their cellphone and other stuff in.
The medium one (1/2 gallon) is best for heavy bulk pellets or wet mash. You can use 2 to distribute the weight more comfortably than 1 large one.
The large one (1 gallon) is best for larger pellets, chopped hay, or normal horse feed. Too much weight can make this large bag uncomfortable, but our kid students find it perfectly comfortable with regular dry pellets.
